Little girls everywhere are filled with excitement for Disney’s new animation “Frozen”, and they have every reason to be. Two princesses, a lot of joyful singing and the most beautiful setting you have ever seen. “Frozen” takes animation to the next level. Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) and Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) are sisters who use to spend every moment together and the magic of winter seemed to be their favorite time together. Elsa has icy powers that she used when playing with Anna. When an unfortunate accident occurs Elsa blames herself for her powers and finds it increasingly harder to manage. She locks herself away from Anna and society in the hopes of containing the danger she holds.

When Elsa can no longer hide her powers her fear traps the kingdom in an eternal winter. As she runs away she feels free to be the person she is, but does not understand the magnitude of what her powers have caused. Anna pairs up with Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) to help find her sister and hopefully thaw out winter and bring back summer. Along the way they meet Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) a talking snowman who has been created by Elsa’s magic. Anna remembers Olaf from when the girls were young and takes him along in the hopes of getting through to Elsa.

Anna will struggle with her sister in the hopes of fixing the damage already done. A sister’s love is unconditional and she will prove that, but will that love be enough to save the kingdom? “Frozen” is stunning. From the beautiful snowflakes, to the ice castle everything in this film was exquisite. The princesses were fun to watch, one girl who is a hopeless romantic looking for love and one who is finally ready to be free from the fear of her secret. The scene stealer for the kids has to be Olaf. His comical act was a riot and will keep adults and kids entertained. “Frozen” is mainly targeted for the girl audiences and has a long run time of almost two hours. So make sure to consider that when planning your movie night. Disney made a wise decision with this film, a perfect holiday film for the family.
